Opportunity: Coordinator for AGIR in the Democratic Republic of Congo

SALAR International is seeking to engage a Coordinator in DRC who can facilitate the practical implementation of the project as well as provide strategic and contextual advice throughout the assignment. The Coordinator will be engaged as consultant for one year initially, with possibility of extension.

The Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions (SALAR) and its subsidiary, SALAR International, is starting up the Sida-funded project Appui à la Gouvernance Inclusive et Redevable (AGIR) in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The overall goal of the project is to Increased access to and quality of public services and participation in decision-making for women, men, boys and girls, and marginalised groups. An agreement has been signed with the Swedish Embassy in Kinshasa for a five-year project from August 2022 to July 2027.

SALAR International is seeking to engage a Coordinator in DRC who can facilitate the practical implementation of the project as well as provide strategic and contextual advice throughout the assignment. The Coordinator will be engaged as consultant (at about 75% level of effort) for one year initially, with the intention to extend the contract based on performance.
