The ongoing pandemic is global but something that we have learnt is that crises is best met at the local level. The world beyond the Corona pandemic needs stronger local institutions and strengthened local democracy. We encourage Sida, the Swedish MFA, the Swedish Government and the EU to make use of the opportunities available to strengthen the local level when the development corporation following the pandemic is drawn up. This is how we build more democratic and resilient societies for the future.
