Smart Engineering for Urban Development – SALAR International in Belgrade
SALAR International participated at an event co-organised by the Nordic embassies in Belgrade named; “Smart Engineering for Urban Development”.
The event was focused on sharing “smart” Swedish urban development experiences with Serbian participants, consisting of some 200 people from central and local governments, business sector, academia and media at the Serbian Chamber of Commerce. SALAR International was present through Paul Dixelius who participated in a panel discussion on “Designing smart cities in the future” together with Miodrag Gluščevic from our Serbian partner, the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities. On behalf of SALAR International, urban specialist Klas Groth also presented the SymbioCity Approach in a session on “Smart city planning in practice”. Great interest was shown in the experiences shared and specifically on the potential of the SymbioCity approach in the Serbian context.
